Retreat #4 - Enter a New Season of Growth!

Join us for the next “Builders of Men” weekend retreat from April 8th thru the 11th at Morrell Ranch in Gallatin, Missouri, which is located approximately 90 minutes north of Downtown Kansas City. Morrell Ranch is the perfect escape for our weekend Building Events where we will disconnect from the stresses of life, reunite our hearts with God, and reconnect as brothers, friends and family.

Keynote Speaker

Burgess Owens is the Congressman from Utah’s Fourth Congressional District. Raised in the segregated South, he saw people of all backgrounds come together to work tirelessly against adversity.

As a young man, Burgess was one of the first four black athletes recruited to play football at the University of Miami and the third black student there to receive a scholarship, ultimately earning BS in biology and chemistry. He was the 13th pick in the first round of the 1973 NFL draft and joined the New York Jets, later playing safety for ten seasons in the NFL for the New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders, winning the Superbowl with the 1980 Raiders’ team.

After retiring from the NFL, Burgess worked in the corporate sales world and eventually moved the Owens family to beautiful Utah. Before being elected to Congress, he started Second Chance 4 Youth, a non-profit dedicated to helping troubled and incarcerated youth.

Burgess now serves as a member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Burgess believes in dreaming big and follows the four guiding principles of faith, family, free markets, and education.

The “Why”

The Builders of Men Program is a transformational experience for those wanting to improve their lives, to develop and grow into the best version of themselves and become part of a powerful community of like minded Latter-day Saint men.

Our retreats will provide you with a clearer vision and road map of how to enrich the most important areas in your life, which should include your faith, family, fitness, finances and fun (hobbies). You will hear from presenters on these matters with various ways to help you improve. More importantly, we will invite you to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost which will further confirm and teach you.

You will return home feeling rejuvenated and with a renewed strength to be a better husband and father, a stronger provider for your family and a more powerful Melchizedek Priesthood holder.

Our retreat is about helping you reach your highest potential but your bonding experience with other Latter-day Saint men is the added bonus. Having created a bond with fellow brethren in the gospel will prove to be a source of strength and support for your personal development journey.
